This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you visit, make a purchase from hellolumzi.ca (the “Site”), or use our Lumzi App located at app.hellolumzi.ca (the “App”).

  • Pet Information (Lumzi App only): pet name, breed, color, gender, photo, allergies, medical notes, and any other information you choose to share in your pet profile.
  • Scan Data (Lumzi App only): location and timestamp when your QR tag is scanned to help identify and contact you if your pet is lost.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process orders and payments on our Shopify store.
  • Provide and manage your Lumzi App account and pet profiles.
  • Send secure one-time login links to access your account.
  • Display contact information when someone scans your QR tag to assist in reuniting lost pets with their owners.
  • Communicate order confirmations, shipping updates, and support responses.
  • Improve our products, services, and user experience.
  • Send marketing emails (only if you’ve opted in).
  • Prevent fraudulent activity and ensure system security.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share your data only with trusted third-party partners necessary to operate our business and the Lumzi App:

  • Shopify – for website hosting and eCommerce operations.
  • Stripe & PayPal – for secure payment processing.
  • Oracle Cloud – for secure hosting of the Lumzi App, pet profiles, and QR tag data.
  • Google Analytics & Meta Pixel – to understand visitor behavior and improve marketing.

Each provider maintains its own privacy practices that comply with data protection laws. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to others.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze website performance, and deliver personalized ads. You can adjust your browser settings to disable cookies, but certain features of our Site or App may not function properly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your order information for our records unless and until you request its deletion. Data stored within the Lumzi App (such as pet profiles) is retained while your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@hellolumzi.ca.

Email data collected for marketing purposes can be removed at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” or contacting us directly.

6. Your Rights (Canada / PIPEDA)

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
